Accessibility Statement

Last updated: November 3, 2026

This is an English translation provided for convenience. If there is any difference between this version and the Hebrew version, the Hebrew version prevails.

1. Our commitment

Miss Gallery is committed to giving equal service to all customers, including people with disabilities. The Site was made accessible in accordance with the Israeli Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Law, 5758–1998, and the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 5773–2013.

2. Accessibility level

The Site meets Israeli Standard SI 5568, which is based on the W3C’s WCAG 2.0 guidelines, at level AA, and was also tested against the updated WCAG 2.1 at level AA. Accessibility is an ongoing process, and we check and improve the Site whenever content is added or the design changes.

3. What we made accessible

  • The Site is available in Hebrew (right to left) and in English (left to right), with the page language set for screen readers and words in the other language marked so they are read correctly.
  • A “Skip to main content” link at the start of every page, and a unique title for every page.
  • A clear heading structure and marked page regions (header, navigation, main content, footer).
  • Text alternatives for item photos. Decorative images, and images already described by the text next to them, are marked so screen readers do not read them twice.
  • Full keyboard navigation with a clearly visible focus indicator, including on dark backgrounds. Anything that opens (the menu, an enlarged image, notices) closes with the Esc key, and focus returns to where it was.
  • Focused elements are never hidden behind the top bar or the cookie notice.
  • Contrast of at least 4.5:1 between text and background, including text over images, and at least 3:1 for form field borders and icons, in both light and dark display.
  • Works at a screen width of 320 pixels without horizontal scrolling, and supports zoom and increased text spacing without loss of content.
  • Respects the operating system’s “reduce motion” setting, and offers a button to pause the opening slideshow.
  • Forms with a label for every field, an explanation of which fields are required, and detailed error messages that are linked to the field and announced by screen readers.
  • An accessibility adjustments menu (the blue icon in the corner of the screen): reading the page or selected text aloud (on devices with a voice installed for the page language); text: larger and smaller text, readable font, text spacing, highlighted headings and highlighted links; colors: high contrast, black and yellow, inverted colors, monochrome and sepia; navigation and display: enhanced keyboard focus, stopping animations, showing image descriptions, page zoom, and a large white or black mouse cursor. Settings are saved in the browser, and the menu can also reset them and report an accessibility problem.

The adjustments menu was built specifically for this Site and is not a third-party plugin. It is an extra aid only: accessibility is built into the Site’s code, and the Site is accessible without it, including with screen readers and magnification software.

4. How the Site was tested

Every page of the Site was tested with the automated axe-core tool against WCAG 2.1 level AA, on desktop and mobile, in light and dark display, including with the adjustments menu open. We also tested keyboard-only navigation, pop-up behavior, a 320-pixel width, increased text spacing, contrast of text over images, the forms, and each of the adjustments in the menu.

5. Parts that are not fully accessible

  • Third-party content, such as the Instagram, WhatsApp, Waze and Google Maps pages the Site links to, is not under our control and may not be fully accessible.
  • Reading the page aloud from the adjustments menu works only on devices and browsers that have a voice installed for the page language. On other devices, we recommend using the device’s own screen reader.

If you have difficulty using any part of the Site, you can get all the information and service by phone or WhatsApp, including details, dimensions and more photos of any item in the gallery.

6. Shop accessibility

  • The shop is at 36 Beit Eshel St., in the Jaffa Flea Market. The entrance is directly from the street, with no steps.
  • The shop has no dedicated parking. There are public parking lots and street parking around the flea market.

7. Keyboard shortcuts and browser aids

  • Tab / Shift+Tab: move forward and back between links, buttons and fields.
  • Enter or Space: activate a button or link.
  • Esc: close the adjustments menu, the main menu, an enlarged image and notices.
  • Ctrl++ / Ctrl+-: zoom the whole page in and out in the browser. Ctrl+0 returns to normal size. On a Mac, use Cmd instead of Ctrl.
  • F11: switch to full screen and back.

8. Accessibility inquiries

Ran into a problem? Contact us and we will take care of it as soon as possible. You can also click “Report a problem” in the adjustments menu. To help us, please tell us the page, a description of the problem, and the browser or assistive technology you used.

The Site is operated by Miss Design (מיס עיצובים), which operates Miss Gallery. The business is not required to appoint an accessibility coordinator, and accessibility inquiries are handled directly by the business owners:
